TAKS 19 - EVALUATION

In the evaluation the following four questions must be addressed:

1.     In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
ü  You need to link to the three tasks (main and two ancillary tasks) that you have done.
ü  A SUGGESTION: USE WIX – one page for USE, DEVELOP, CHALLENGE
ü  Make explicit links (could be hyperlinks) to other professionally produced media texts – NAME DROP
ü  This takes the longest time

2.     How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
ü  You must discuss how your pieces work together – BRANDING
ü  Write a mock interview with your artist (you can record this yourself) asking them how they create a brand, make their products etc.  Record the interview and upload it on the blog (write it up first and get it checked by a peer)

3.     What have you learned from your audience feedback?
ü  Conduct research by using surveymonkey, putting work on social media sites, holding focus groups – upload everything onto the blog
ü  Discuss how holding audience research throughout helped you adapt/change your ideas
ü  Final viewing – could you have changed anything else?

4.     How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
ü  Create a prezi discussing your use of ICT in the whole project
ü  Link to research, planning, construction and evaluation

ü  Technology to discuss – camera, online programmes, editing equipment, sound equipment

TASK 18 - Filming and Editing Schedules for the Main and Ancillary tasks (individually)

SYNOPSIS:
This task encourages you to create a schedule for the filming and editing of your calendar.
You need to create a calendar INDIVIDUALLY as you need to add your own dates for the ancillary tasks – be very specific.

TASK:
Create a Google Calendar and embed it on your blog that shows your planning of filming and editing (remember planning of locations and actors).  You can then send this to your actors and have evidence of contacting them and uploading the information on the blogs.
On the calendar add filming times, editing times as well as the times for your ancillary task.
It is a good idea to create a SOCIAL MEDIA page for your video and use this to communicate with people.

PRESENTATION IDEAS

Create a Google Calendar and embed it on the blog.  Obviously you need to have the same dates as everyone else in your group.

TASK 17 - Photo shoot planning for Ancillary Tasks (individually)

SYNOPSIS:
This task encourages you to plan your photo shoot for your ancillary tasks.  You need this to link with your plans so make the links explicit.

TASK:
Fill in the photo shoot planning documents for your ancillary tasks.

PRESENTATION IDEAS

Using the document on the blog, create plans for your photo shoots.

TASK 16 - Create a Brand (in groups)

TASK:
This task encourages you to create a brand for your main task.  You are marked specifically on this so make sure that your brand mimics the feel and look of your product.  Play around with different ideas and create a presentation that shows your journey to discover this.

Use audience feedback and your research to help come up with an idea.  REMEMBER YOU ARE MARKED ON AUDIENCE WORK.

PRESENTATION IDEAS

Use either Photoshop to create the logo/branding.  Screenshot your ideas as you go and create a planning document.

TASK 15 - Ancillary tasks (individually)

SYNOPSIS:
This task encourages you to create a mock design for your ancillary tasks.  You have to make two items for your coursework.

TASK:
Create a mock up design for your 2 ancillary tasks.  You need to think of the LAYOUT and plan how your piece will look.
You are marked on planning so please ensure this is as detailed as possible.

PRESENTATION IDEAS

Use either Photoshop or other design programme to create the plans and upload the pictures onto your blog.
